Bible by the Beach
Christopher is Writer-in-Residence at Tyndale House, Cambridge and was formerly Director of the Cornhill Training Course in London, and a pastor and church planter. He has written a number of books, including Teaching Psalms, Bible Delight (Psalm 119), and Psalms for You. He is currently working on a longer commentary on the Psalms and how we read and pray them as Christians. Christopher is married to Carolyn and they belong to St. Andrew the Great Church in Cambridge. At the last count they had eight grandchildren and thank God for them all.
Linda is the author of Deeper Still: Finding Clear Minds and Full Hearts through Biblical Meditation, and Head, Heart, Hands Bible notes. She is currently studying for a Masters in Theology at Union School of Theology, whilst working alongside her husband Jonty at The Globe Church, Central London. Her life is a crazy, fun mix of boys (she has three, plus Jonty), Bible teaching, writing, studying and feeding people.
Graham is pastor of Grace Church, Cambridge, and also Director of Independent Ministry Training at Oak Hill Theological College. He has pastored churches in Cambridge and Leicester and has particularly been involved in leading church plants. He is the author of a number of books including Emotions: Living Life in Colour (IVP), God’s New Community: New Testament Patterns for Toady’s Church (IVP), Planting for the Gospel: a hands on guide to church planting (Christian Focus), Isaac Watts: His Life and Thought (Christian Focus).
Ed is the Director of Faith in Kids, a registered charity, which exists to support churches and parents in raising children to trust in Jesus Christ eternally (www.faithinkids.org). He is the author of Meals with Jesus, the Wonder of Easter and The Adventure of Christmas. He is the presenter of the Faith in Kids podcast. He’s married to Mary and they have three children.
John has led the FIEC as National Director for 11 years. He is an elder of Christchurch Market Harborough, a member of the Affinity Council and the Word Alive Organising Team, and a trustee of UCCF and EMF. John teaches on courses at Oak Hill, Edinburgh Theological Seminary, Union School of Theology and Cornhill. He studied Law at Cambridge University where he became a Christian. John is married to Ursula and they have four teenage children. He writes regularly for his blog Dissenting Opinion at john-stevens.com.
Helen is the Director of Training and Resources at Biblical Counselling UK. She is an experienced counsellor, speaker and writer whose books include “Hope in an anxious world”, “Real change” and “Walking with domestic abuse sufferers”. She is active in pastoral care and work among internationals in her local church, Dundonald Church in SW London. On her days off she enjoys gardening, walking and large quantities of Korean food.
Simon became Vicar of Christ Church Virginia Water in 2017.
After a short career in banking in his home, Jersey, Simon served in parishes in Carlisle, Buxton, and Wimbledon, and 10 years as Vice Principal of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. Simon is keen to explain deep truths of faith in accessible and memorable ways. His writings include on Stress, Preaching, John’s Gospel and Marriage, and currently a commentary on Exodus. He and Carrie have three grown up children and two grandchildren.
Outside of work, caravanning, tennis, golf, cycling and music are key to resting and enjoying God.
